I get this question a lot, especially when I mention the CMA in one of my sermons! Â What is the CMA, the Christian Motorcyclists Association? Â Recently, I mentioned that I had just became a Chaplain in our local CMA Chapter in one of my sermons. Â Again, this question came up, so I thought I would take a few minutes to write a post that can reside on the site here, explaining a little something about the CMA.
DOCTRINAL STATEMENT OF THE CHRISTIAN MOTORCYCLISTS ASSOCIATION
The Christian Motorcyclists Association is an interdenominational organization with a nondenominational message of Jesus Christ and the salvation by which the acknowledgment of our sins and the belief that through Christ we will be saved.
CMA believes that the Holy Bible is the true and infallible Word of God the Father. That it was written to give the human race, throughout the ages, knowledge and understanding as to the purpose and fulfillment of living a Christian life. CMA believes Jesus Christ is the Son of God, born of a virgin to bring fulfillment of salvation to a lost and dying world. That Jesus did many signs and wonders to fulfill the scriptures as proof of His authority. That Christ was crucified on a cross at Calvary and raised again on the third day, taking back the powers of death, hell and the grave. This is our only escape from eternal damnation of Hell, and promise for an eternal life spent in worshiping the Holy God by which everything was created.
The CMA vision is to share this Good News with all people.
The purpose of CMA is to provide and encourage members to be active in testimony and Christian witnessing to all motorcyclists, provide a Christian fellowship ride group, and to provide an evangelistic association for motorcycling.
These purposes are accomplished through providing support at secular motorcycle rallies in areas such as registration, security, and other duties as needed. CMA provides Sunday morning worship services, Biker Blessings, and just being there as “someone to talk to” if someone has a need in their life.
Over the past twenty-seven years, CMA has been able to extend our outreach to millions of people throughout the world by the fruits of Run for the Son. By partnering with likeminded ministries, we have been able to place the message of hope in front of the multitudes in hundreds of other countries. In addition, Run for the Son has enabled CMA to equip the saints here in the United States and all over the world to reach the lost with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The successful efforts of the past twenty-seven years have raised over 52 million dollars to help spread the Good News. Over 19.2 million souls and counting have been reached through Run for the Son!  The Run for the Son ride event is scheduled for May 2nd, 2015 this year.  Check the CMA Web Site for information about local chapters in your area.
The great thing about the CMA is, that you don’t even need to own a motorcycle to belong! Â We are a group of motorcycle enthusiasts and many of our member don’t own a bike! Â If you are interested in getting more information about the CMA, please check the CMA Web Site! Â Or even drop me a line and I will be more than happy to answer any questions you might have!
And before you ask, yes, I do own a motorcycle! Â I have a 1987 Honda Goldwing 1200i Interstate with a trailer that I can tow behind it too!
